Call for Bursary Applications for the 2017 ttra International Conference

bursary applications

The Travel and Tourism Research Association is pleased to announce that it will be able to award a number of bursaries for its 2017 Annual International Conference.

Made possible with the financial assistance of Canada’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, bursaries between $1,000 and $2,000 will be made available to researchers:
• in geographically remote and northern regions,
• indigenous researchers,
• emerging researchers from developing countries, and
• different humanities and social science disciplines interested in the marketing of travel and tourism research more generally.

Propose your new and cutting edge research techniques and measures that analyze the impact of technology on consumers and the destinations they visit. Suggest research case studies that demonstrate how technology is changing the way destinations connect with residents and consumers, and share your newest research on consumer behavior and marketplace trends. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of this important forum.

Presentation formats include:

A.       Presentations

15- to 20-minute presentations in concurrent sessions

B.       Panels

60-minute sessions where 2 or more speakers present on a topic

C.       ttraTalks

10-minute snapshots of a research issue, methodology or finding

D.      Visual Papers as part of the “Ideas Fair”

All bursary applications should provide a brief explanation of need and contribution and be directed to Marion Joppe, Conference Chair (mjoppe@uoguelph.ca)
